About Something Positive for Positive People (SPFPP)
Something Positive for Positive People (SPFPP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing herpes stigma and supporting the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of those navigating a herpes diagnosis.
Founded in 2017 as a podcast sharing real stories from people living with herpes, SPFPP has grown into a comprehensive resource hub offering donation-based support calls, survey research, yoga therapy, workshops, and training for health professionals.
With 36% of people with herpes reporting suicidal ideation and 15% identifying emotional stress as a trigger for outbreaks, SPFPP tailors its resources to address stigma-related stressors. By fostering connection, empowerment, and education, SPFPP helps individuals navigate their diagnosis and thrive.
