Join us at Sex Positive World's first conversational salon with Nishita Rao called Pillow Talk Salon with Nixi.  Flavoured with historical tidbits and engaging sex-positive ice-breakers, this event will be a place to experience healthy, explorative and positive conversations about sex.

Once we all settle in together, Nishita will journey with us through erotic facts from sexual history to inspire the Salon's discussions and games we'll then engage in.  As our Pillow Talk host, Nishita, will be drawing from her vast knowledge as a researcher studying the development of human sexual and social behaviors, Neurobiology of Trauma and colonial imprints on sexual expressions.

We'll be using Welo, a Zoom application that will make the virtual space we are sharing more realistically like an in person salon.  No extra work on your part.  You don't need to download Welo.  It will already be running when you join the call.

Once Nishita has helped initiate our collective conversation, we will use the Welo created salon space to come and go from larger group discussions and smaller circles, should you choose to do so, as our time together evolves. We hope you enjoy the experience!

Our event host, tech support person and event angel for the evening will be Karen Hery, Sex Positive World board secretary, zooming in while traveling to visit sex positive communities in Europe.  She enjoys supporting conversations about sex positivity worldwide.

Nishita Rao is a cis-gender, heterosexual, androphilic Indian woman, a sexual assault survivor with 9 years of experience as a BIPOC sex educator.  She has an MSc. in Neurosciences with a concentration in Behavioral Neuroendocrinology, a background in Genetics, and is pursuing the Holistic Sexuality Educator Certificate Program at the Institute for Sexuality Education and Enlightenment, an approved organizational provider of CE’s by The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT). Nishita is also being trained by the U.S. Department of Veterans Health Administration (VHA) and the Alberta Family Wellness Initiative (AFWI) on Trauma-informed Brain Development.
