Have a sex positive skill you want to practice with someone? There’s so much we learn in workshops that we may not have time to fully integrate or get comfortable with at the time, so we want to give you all a chance to practice some of these skills at your own pace. This could include:

• Giving or receiving a “no”
• Being accountable and responding without defensiveness when someone lets you know you’ve harmed them
• Negotiating for what you want
• Handling being called out
• The Pleasure Talk (negotiating a sexual interaction with a partner)
• Anything else you’d like to get more comfortable communicating about

Whatever you might want to work on, we’d love for you to come join us for a couple of hours to get some practice time in with other sex positive community members.

This event will be fairly loosely structured, and you will be able to choose what you want to practice and who you’d like to practice with. We will open the event by sharing some instructions, setting the container, and inviting you all to briefly introduce yourselves. We will also offer some suggestions of exercises you might find helpful, though you are welcome to come with your own exercise(s) you want to practice. Then you’ll be at choice to move into a breakout room with whoever you’d like to practice with. We’ll have a loose “rounds” structure, to give you opportunities to switch it up and practice something else with a new partner if you would like. Afterwards, we’ll wrap up with a closing circle to hear how it went for all of you.
